Commissioner Kendall Ridley
SMD 8C04
Kendall Ridley was sworn in to the 8C Commission in January 2025. She’s a seven-year D.C. resident who moved to Congress Heights in 2022.
From 9 to 5, Kendall works in corporate communications — an expert in media relations, content strategy, and amplifying mission-driven initiatives.
From 5 to 9, Kendall is a mentor for the next generation of communications professionals. She’s spoken to middle- and high school students about career paths. When it’s graduation season, she helps her undergraduate sisters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. polish their resumes and coaches them ahead of job interviews.
Kendall earned her bachelor’s degree from George Mason University, where she majored in communication and served as vice president of her sorority. She earned a master’s degree in business communications from Georgetown University.
Kendall believes Ward 8 residents deserve access and opportunity for a great quality of life. Her priorities for ANC 8C are to improve trash/dumping issues, safety, and infrastructure.
